Was schon in unserer News am Montag angekündigt wurde, ist nun offiziell. Die Newsmeldung auf EA Racing beschreibt, dass ab dem 8.1.2002 EA Racing geschlossen wird. Das bedeutet auch, dass sowohl NFS 4 als auch NFS Porsche nicht mehr über die EA Racing Server gespielt werden können, nur um Motor City Online Platz zu schaffen. :( Hier ein Auszug aus der News: The End of an Era We've all heard the call of the open road. But alas, all good things must come to an end and eventually we must put the open road and the memories it created behind us. It is with heavy heart that we announce the closing of EA Racing on January 8th to continue focus and development on Motor City Online. Those of us who had a hand in the creation, production and support of the game and web site will miss the community that High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed created. NFSCheats hat eine Unterschriftensammlung (Petition) erstellt, wo sich jeder eintragen sollte, der will, dass EA entweder die Server nicht abschaltet oder dass sie den Servercode an jemand anders weitergeben, der die Server weiterlaufen lassen kann.
